Xing Yi Quan – The Art of Advancing

"The general who is skilled in defense hides in the most secret recesses of the earth; he who is skilled in attack flashes forth from the topmost heights of heaven."
Sun Tzu
The Art of War

The unique fighting style of Xing Yi is based on battlefield combat. Its aggressive attacks are designed to overpower your opponent and destroy the deliver of their weapons.

Much has been written about Xing Yi / Hsing I’s connection and history to the battlefield arts and its legendary creator Yue Fei. While the lines may have become somewhat blurred to the actual truth of whom and when Hsing I was created, it is obvious from Hsing I’s simple, yet profound training techniques were designed to develop fighting skills very rapidly.

The Zhang (or Chang) Jun Feng system of Xing Yi Quan has thirty two forms to guide its practitioners through a series of combat-orientated techniques designed to create a strong structure & frame, develop powerful and flexible joints for striking, kicking, grabbing and throwing while learning evasive and advancing footwork. Our last form (33) "Phoenix" is the bridge between Xing Yi and Gao Yi Sheng’s Ba Gua Zhang.

Allen Carroll teaches the impressive curriculum of personal, physical and martial mastery of Xing Yi Quan on a variety of days and times. Feel free to give him a call for more information at 404-234-7454.
