Moi Fah of Northern Shaolin Kung Fu – Meet Philip

Moi Fah of Northern Shaolin Kung Fu – Meet Philip

By: Craig on Tuesday, June 15, 2010

Philip, student of Northern Shaolin Kung Fu here at PATHS Atlanta, has officially climbed the martial arts ladder.

Originally he wanted to wait. His next military tour of duty overseas would be starting soon & it would last quite a while.

Then…He made the bold decision to test his current kung fu knowledge in Northern Shaolin martial arts.

On a boiling Sunday afternoon, Philip tested with a ten minute Horse stance, introductory material, Tan Tui, Lein Bo Kuen, Tun Dah, and reviewed the broadsword.

After successfully passing his test, Philip began to learn the movements of Northern Shaolin’s Plum Flower form – Moi Fah / Mei Hua. His hope is to learn the basic movements of the form before he leaves for duty, allowing himself quite a bit of time to fine-tune the movements and come up with a list of questions and possible applications.

Congratulations Philip!
